VHL's lab completion certificate awarded for completing their penetration testing lab environment — not a traditional proctored certification exam. Requires lab machine compromise and documentation rather than a formal proctored assessment. Primarily recognized as OSCP preparation evidence rather than a standalone career credential. VHL has announced formal certification exams (CPT-01) launching in 2026 which may significantly change its market position. At $99-$499 for lab access it's excellent value as a learning resource even if the certificate itself has limited hiring impact currently.
