Written plus practical exam, both requiring 80% to pass, ProctorU proctored. Two-year validity. Not DoD 8140 approved. The on-premises deployment model means this cert is particularly relevant in government, defense, and regulated industry environments that cannot use cloud-based scanning platforms. Paired with Tenable VM Specialist for practitioners who manage both cloud and on-prem Tenable deployments.
