ISO 27001 LA — PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor
PECB's ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor certification covering third-party audit methodology for ISMS — the credential for practitioners who audit organizations against ISO 27001 rather than implement it. Not DoD 8140 approved. Widely recognized wherever ISO 27001 audit is a business service — particularly in Europe, the Middle East, and internationally. Lead Auditor is required for practitioners working at accredited certification bodies (CBs) that issue ISO 27001 certificates to organizations. Most relevant for GRC consultants who conduct external audits and for internal auditors assessing ISMS effectiveness.
