OCTA — Okta Certified Technical Architect
Okta's highest certification — a $5,000 board-defense style assessment where candidates present and defend a complex Okta architecture design before a panel of Okta technical experts. Unlike other Okta certs which are MCQ, OCTA involves a 40% practical component through the architecture defense. Not DoD 8140 approved. Held by very few practitioners globally — the cost and format make it inaccessible to most, but it carries genuine prestige in Okta partner ecosystems and for senior IAM architects. More common at large system integrators and Okta strategic partners than in-house enterprise teams.
