GIAC's incident response leadership certification covering the management and coordination of large-scale incident response operations — launched 2025. Addresses the gap between technical IR skill and the leadership capabilities needed by IR managers and CISO-level incident commanders. Covers team coordination, executive reporting during incidents, crisis communication, and IR strategy development. Not yet DoD 8140 listed as a new cert. A meaningful credential for senior practitioners transitioning from hands-on IR work into IR leadership roles without fully leaving the incident response domain.
