CIPM — Certified Information Privacy Manager
IAPP's privacy management certification covering the operational side of running a privacy program — governance frameworks, privacy risk assessment, data mapping, privacy operations, and Data Protection Officer responsibilities. Not DoD 8140 approved. Where CIPP concentrations cover the legal frameworks, CIPM covers the management and operational implementation of privacy programs. The most common companion cert to CIPP/E or CIPP/US — together they cover both regulatory knowledge and program management. Expected for Data Protection Officers and Privacy Program Managers at organizations with formal privacy functions.
