CCIE Security — Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Security
The highest Cisco certification and one of the most prestigious credentials in networking — the CCIE Security requires passing a written qualifying exam followed by an 8-hour hands-on lab exam in a Cisco testing facility. Fewer than 5% of Cisco professionals hold any CCIE. DoD 8140 approved. A career-defining credential for network security architects and senior engineers in large Cisco environments. The lab exam genuinely tests expert-level ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex Cisco security infrastructures under time pressure — this is not a multiple choice certification.
