ACE — AccessData Certified Examiner
Exterro's (formerly AccessData) free certification for their FTK (Forensic Toolkit) platform — one of the most widely deployed forensic tools in law enforcement and enterprise. Free to obtain when bundled with FTK training, making it extremely accessible. Like all tool vendor certs, validates FTK proficiency specifically rather than transferable forensics skill. FTK's market presence in law enforcement means ACE has some name recognition in government hiring contexts. A reasonable credential to add if you already use FTK — the cost of entry is essentially zero — but it won't substitute for a vendor-neutral credential.
